How to Use:

1. Select Your Wood: Choose a high-quality wood plank of your desired size and thickness. Ensure it is smooth and free from defects for the best results.
2. Secure the Template: Place the acrylic template on top of your wooden plank, aligning it carefully to achieve the desired design. Our clear templates allow you to see the grain while positioning the template, giving you more control over the finished wood board. Secure the template with clamps or double-sided tape to prevent movement during cutting.
3. Trace the Design: Once the template is secure, use a pencil or marking tool to trace the outline of the design onto the wooden surface. Take your time for accurate tracing, which will guide your cutting process.
4. Cut with Precision: With the design traced, use your preferred cutting tool—whether a jigsaw, bandsaw, or scroll saw—to cut along the traced lines carefully. Cut close to the line to remove excess material; use a flush trim router bit for exact shaping later.
5. Flush Trim: Use a flush trim router bit with a palm router or a table to cut the board to match the template. Set the router bearing to the template and let it guide the cut around the entire shape. This ensures your wood is accurately cut to match the template.
6. Fine-Tune and Sand: After cutting, use sandpaper or a wood file to refine any rough edges and smooth out the surface. This step is essential for achieving a polished finish and ensuring the template's design stands out beautifully.
7. Finish to Perfection: Apply your preferred finish—whether it’s stain, oil, or epoxy—to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and protect it from wear and tear. Allow the finish to dry completely before handling or displaying your finished wooden board.
