About the Author

James Krenov was born in Siberia, studied furniture making and design with Carl Malmsten in Stockholm, Sweden, and later opened his own workshop there. In 1980, Krenov returned to the United States to open and lead the fine woodworking program at the Collage of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg, California. He has been an immense influence on contemporary cabinetmaking in the United States.
