AMS-001 - Amana 4pc Essentials CNC Bit Set / 1/4" Surface: Klingspor's Woodworking Shop Exclusive

The AMS-001 Essentials set covers you if your machine can only use 1/4" shank bits.  You get the two most popular sizes of downcut spiral bits (1/8" & 1/4"), a 60° solid carbide V-bit, and one of the best surfacing/spoilboard bits on the market today.

Downcut bits offer the best general cutting and milling results on all wood materials while leaving the top edge super clean and chip-free.

For most small-shop projects, the 60° V will produce a more detailed cut than 90°, making it a more desirable option for your V-carving needs.  Being made of 100% solid carbide will last longer and cut cleaner.

Surfacing and flattening should be a top priority with the CNC.  The innovative RC-2265 has three replaceable cutters that offer 4 cutting sides per cutter.  If the cutter starts to dull, rotate it 90° and keep going.  Do this three times before needing to worry about sharpen or replace them.  If your machine accepts a 1/2" shank, consider the AMS-002 kit, which includes the bigger brother RC-2255 surfacing bit.

All the bits in this set come in the SPEKTRA COATING for longer life, except for the RC-2265.
