How to Use:

1. Select Your Wood: For the best results, choose a high-quality wood plank of your desired size and thickness. Ensure the wood is smooth and free from defects.
2. Secure the Template: Position the acrylic template on top of your wooden plank, aligning it carefully to achieve the desired design. The transparent templates allow you to see the wood grain as you position it, giving you better control over the outcome. Secure the template using clamps or double-sided tape to prevent any movement during cutting.
3. Trace the Design: With the template securely in place, use a pencil or marking tool to trace the outline of the design onto the wooden surface. Take time to ensure accurate tracing, which will guide your cutting process.
4. Cut with Precision: Once the design is traced onto the wood, carefully cut along the traced lines using your preferred cutting tool, whether a jigsaw, bandsaw, or scroll saw. You only need to cut close to the line to remove excess material; we will use a flush trim router bit to achieve exactness later.
5. Flush Trim: Employ a flush trim router bit and a palm router or table router to cut the board to match the template. Set the router bearing to the template and allow it to reference the side of the template all the way around. This will ensure your wood is precisely shaped according to the template.
6. Fine-Tune and Sand: After cutting, use sandpaper or a wood file to refine any rough edges and smooth the board's surface. This step is essential for achieving a polished finish and ensuring the template's design stands out beautifully.
7. Finish to Perfection: Apply your preferred finish—such as stain, oil, or epoxy—to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and protect it from wear. Allow the finish to dry completely before handling or displaying your finished wooden board.
