Its transparency lets you see the grain pattern of the wood, allowing for optimal placement. All shapes are laser cut, providing the smoothest edges possible. Each acrylic template has protective masking on both sides to guard against scratches during shipping.

How to Use:

1. Select Your Wood: For the best results, choose a high-quality wood plank of your desired size and thickness. Ensure it is smooth and free from defects.
2. Secure the Template: Place the acrylic template on top of your wooden plank, aligning it carefully to achieve your desired design. Our clear templates let you view the wood grain while laying out your position for maximum control over your finished board. Secure the template using clamps or double-sided tape to prevent movement during cutting.
3. Trace the Design: Outline the design onto the wood surface with the template securely in place using a pencil or marking tool. Take time to ensure accurate tracing, which will guide your cutting process.
4. Cut with Precision: Once you have traced the design, use your preferred cutting tool—whether it’s a jigsaw, bandsaw, or scroll saw—to cut along the traced lines carefully. You only need to cut close to the line to remove excess material; we will use a flush trim router bit for exact precision.
5. Flush Trim: Use a flush trim router bit with a palm router or table router to cut the board to match the template. Set the router bearing against the template, allowing it to reference the side of the template all the way around. This will create a flush cut that matches the template shape.
6. Fine-Tune and Sand: After cutting, use sandpaper or a wood file to smooth out any rough edges and refine the board's surface. This step is crucial for achieving a polished finish that showcases the template’s design beautifully.
7. Finish to Perfection: Apply your preferred finish—whether it’s stain, oil, or epoxy—to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and protect it from wear and tear. Allow the finish to dry completely before handling or displaying your finished wooden board.
