General finishes dye stains are unique, ultra penetrating stains designed to work like solvent based stains. The deep rich tones enhance the wood grain and produce vibrant colors, especially on woods like cherry, walnut and maple because they penetrate deeply into the cell structure.They can also be used as a toner when mixed with General Finishes water based products and are a perfect match when used under pigment based stains to create that deep, factory finish look. All top coats are acceptable over General Finishes Dye stains.
