Steel wool can leave deep scratch marks due to its shape. These nonwoven nylon 6" x 9" hand pads will accomplish the same thing without pattern scratches. These pads are made of a non-woven web of nylon impregnated with abrasive grain. For woodworking: These are perfect beginning French polishing or for scuffing sealers especially when using waterborne products where steel wool can leave unsightly rust spots. For metalworking: Great for medium to fine satin finish and slight burr removal.
