This blade produces a smooth as glass finish when crosscutting hard and soft woods, but what makes this blade so unique is the minimal amount of side clearance. Much less than the clearance of standard saw blades. This feature gives a beautiful finish when crosscutting hard wood and soft wood with all types of miter saws, chop saws, radial arm saws and table saws.

With thim minimal amount of side clearance binding could be a problem due to the natural tensions in wood and heat caused by the cutting action. To eliminate this problem and improve the blade's flow through the wood, a new Teflon-S (TCS) coating makes these blades resistant to friction and heat build-up. Studies by DuPont tell us that TCS coated blades last up to 50% longer than conventional blades before needing sharpening. TCS blades pull 1/3 less on the saw, whick translates inot over 38% more cutting power. They also clean up with hot water! The teeth are ground in an aggressive Alternate Top Bevel pattern then each carbide tooth is polished to a mirror finish. This requires extra time and expense but provides a razor sharp edge on each tooth.

Ideal working range from 1/4" to 1-5/8" thick. Thinner or thicker material may be cut, but some loss of surface finish may occur.
