This new 3-piece Door Bit Set combines the 99-761 Premier Adjustable Rail and Stile bits with the 99-515 2+2 raised panel bit. This set allows woodworkers to create doors with thicknesses ranging from 5/8 inch to 1-1/4 inches and supports long tenon construction for strong, durable joints that last a lifetime.

The top portion of the cutter, including the bearing and spindle, can be removed to create the front of the long tenon profile. This feature is ideal for making blind tenons, through tenons, or bridle joints, allowing for rattle-free flat panel doors. Adjustable shims ensure a tight fit for plywood panels, while also accommodating thicker panels (ranging from 5.5mm to 6.35mm). The unique cutter geometry virtually eliminates tear-out.

This set includes Freud's 99-515 2+2 raised panel bit, which features two small wings that cut downward and two large wings that shear upward to produce an extremely smooth cut in hardwoods, softwoods, and plywood. This innovative design is paired with a backcutter, allowing you to create a flawless raised panel door that is flush with the frame on both sides in just one step.

The bits come with Freud's Perma-Shield coating to resist heat, pitch build-up, and rust, as well as Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide for maximum bit life and material finish. This set is designed for use with table-mounted portable routers. Optional cutters are available for double-sided profile doors (model 99-861) and glass panel doors (model 54-760), allowing for variable thicknesses and long tenons to ensure matching profiles on all doors.

The set produces an Ogee profile on the rail and stile and a bevel profile on the panel bit. All bits are 1/2 inch wide, and the set comes in an attractive wooden storage box that includes an instructional poster.
